THROUGH A HOLISTICALLY HUMAN APPROACH

Thoughtfulness should imbue our entire being.

It is our attention to the welfare of others, moving from ‘me’ to ‘we’.

Being  thought · full  then connotes this notion at its utmost degree.

How, though, is this personal sentiment applied professionally?

In the realms of design and leadership, it follows a simple adage—

This adage represents both an individual journey and the advantage I bring within an organization to enhance its quality and growth by instilling visceral, human value throughout its operations and offerings. Particularly as we face planetary social, health, and ecological challenges together, the manner in which organizations connect with people becomes even more paramount. 

Thought · full solutions, ranging from product or service design and implementation to optimizing global operations, emerge from a comprehensive, design thinking approach combined with a discreet understanding of human nature. Creative skills to envision and articulate possibilities, along with leadership and interpersonal expertise, are harnessed to leverage resources and deliver results collaboratively across geographies.

Ideal outcomes then anticipate and resonate with people’s innate desires and fulfill or surpass their expectations with the intuitive familiarity of an effortless experience suffused with a genuine sense of kindness. More than solely what we do, it is the intention of why and soulful way in which we do things that truly reflect an organization’s worth—their purpose, people, processes, and products or services.

As a career path of discovery, then, the adage first alludes to my consumer oriented education and initiation into the field of industrial design. Trained as the end user advocate in the development process, a designer coalesces elements of various disciplines—marketing, research, materials and manufacturing, electromechanical & software engineering, functionality and interface, the business ecosystem—to conceptualize a product as a whole.

Early in the vocation, a fascination with consumer psychology aroused questions into the origins of my own values and of other cultures. By asking “Why?” and applying the answers with integrity, I found that having an infinite outlook opens opportunities and invites innovation through an acute curiosity into farther frames of reference and a yearning for discerning insight into the human condition.

The formative years thereafter brought lifestyle explorations along with a wider worldview through entrepreneurship and extended travels internationally. Immersion in the realities of humanity kindled universal perspectives on practicing commerce with authenticity and care. A department director role for the production of environmentally mindful furniture was soon to embody this consciousness. As did the design of digital devices for health care at home for the elderly, and regionally relevant, mobile assistants for an emerging market.

Most recently, then, engaged in developing academic institutions, instructing university students, and volunteering to aid refugees, an ever more gracious sense of purpose has been fostered. Evolving from a designer of material product experiences, to directorship positions of responsibility, and then to deliver more conscientious services and operational systems of work.

Readily prepared and industry adaptive through these diverse endeavors, and with a wisdom for wanting to do more for those who have less, I now look forward to working with organizations committed to improving themselves and the world at large in a meaningful manner . . . those devoted to thought · full ness.
